steven universe is such a good character. he’s a chubby young boy who’s extremely musical, likes video games and hanging out with his female bff, three of his four major role models are women (or rather feminine nonbnary ppl), his gem is pink (as is his current “weapon”, his shield[!!!]), his only powers so far seem to be the creation of bright pink protective bubbles and healing abilites. he cries often and is super emotional, but is also always finding humour in situations, and he cant!! stand!! seeing!! ppl! sad!!

AND THE IMPORTANT THING IS NONE OF THESE CHARACTERISTICS ARE EVER PLAYED FOR LAUGHS!! STEVEN IS A YOUNG BOY WHO POSSESSES MANY TRADITIONALLY FEMININE CHARACTERISTICS BUT THIS IS NEVER PORTRAYED AS A BAD THING, OR EVEN RLY AS A THING AT ALL!! ITS JUST WHO STEVEN IS!!
